Beyond the Business Suit with Kailei Carr

Host Kailei Carr created this podcast to shed light on the “secret weapons” of successful women, examining the hidden things that can help or hinder a career. One stand-out episode features Minda Harts, author of The Memo: What Women of Color Need to Know to Secure a Seat at the Table. Harts describes her feelings frequently being the only black woman in professional settings and dealing with microaggressions. This led her to create The Memo, a platform that gives women of color career tips and resources.

hey, girl.

Author Alex Elle created hey, girl. to embrace sisterhood and tell stories. Since its launch, she’s invited the women who inspire her to have intimate conversations, the through line often being self-care. Illustrators, Ayurvedic chefs, Olympic fencers, and even Elle’s own grandmother discuss everything from sexual health to civil rights, collective grief to ancestral guidance.

Power Hour

Wellness expert Adrienne Herbert is motivating listeners to pursue their passions and achieve sustainable success. Talking weekly with the UK’s leading coaches, creatives, change-makers, and innovators, Herbert examines the daily habits and life-shifts needed for ultimate success.

Women Rule

Want to learn how successful women in the worlds of business and politics made it to the top? Women Rule, a weekly show by Politico, features interviews with kick-ass women leaders who share their personal stories and offer plenty of advice, tips and inspiring words for women looking to lead.

Women & Politics

It’s not a podcast, but we had to do a little plug for Richmond local radio show, Women & Politics, where our founder, Sheri Shannon, is a guest host with Carol Olson. The show brings women together to talk about how they’re engaging in politics, what they want out of their representatives, and how women are responsible for changing communities.

The show airs on Thursdays at noon eastern time, but you can also listen online on 97.3 WRIR’s website
